Creative Guest Book Alternative Ideas!
Traditional guest books make me think of dusty, forgotten boxes. I appreciate their sentimental value and understand why people want to keep them. When planning an outdoor wedding, there are five key things that often slip through the cracks. Let's take a look at them and how to keep them from causing problems on your wedding day.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Table - The Best Alterative
In an outdoor ceremony, a table with a linen can detract from the natural beauty of the landscape, which is likely why you chose that location in the first place. As a Wedding Planner in the Hudson Valley, where we often have beautiful outdoor settings, we have some alterative suggestions to using a traditional table with a linen, which can be an eyesore.

Multiple times during our wedding planning process, we looked at each other and wondered out loud how any of this would be possible without Cathy. Working with her made any alternative completely unthinkable. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe how fantastic she is, both personally and professionally. Cathy and her staff were incredibly helpful and informative throughout the entire process, and were always able to respond to our many, many questions quickly and correctly. Her wealth of knowledge about wedding planning is unparalleled, and she worked seamlessly with every vendor we used. Her reputation preceded her with everyone we contacted, all of whom had nothing but good things to say about her. Although the planning process can be overwhelming, Cathy remained helpful, comforting, and down-to-earth about everything. Her organizational prowess is awe-inspiring. Simply put, she gets shit done. Why are you still reading this? Go hire Cathy now.

We have entertained continuously during our 35 years together and had very specific points of view on what kind of feeling we hoped to create for our wedding guests. We contacted several “Wedding Planners." All were perfectly pleasant, but seemed very interested in what they did and much less interested in what we wanted. Cathy was entirely different. First- she listened. By the end of our first meeting we had decided to hire her. She could not have been more perfect. She thought of a ton of details that had never even occurred to us. After the wedding, we learned that the venue had failed to mow the lawn under the tent and that Cathy had seamlessly handled this without troubling us the morning of our wedding. She also stayed on top of us in the gentlest possible way, forcing us to make necessary specific decisions in a timely fashion. Every portion of the event occurred smoothly and on schedule, which would not have occurred without all of Cathy's work. We would both be happy to talk to you or answer questions about Cathy!

Cathy, cathy, cathy… She should be referred to as Saint Cathy, because that’s what she is! Cathy is the only reason my husband and I made it down the aisle. As many may have experienced (although I hope none ever have to) the wedding day does not always go as planned. For us, weather was an issue, buses were delayed, itineraries had to be modified; all of which Cathy did without batting an eye. Both my husband and I didn’t feel the slightest bit of stress going on all around us all because of Cathy. She helped my husband & myself every step of the way, wayyyyy before our “big day”. Cathy kept us sane and unruly groomsman in line. She may appear tiny, but she is fierce. Cathy is incredible at her job, painstakingly mindful to every minuscule detail, and an extremely knowledgeable resource. We would honestly trust Cathy with our lives! She made our day the amazingly perfect day that it was! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
