Bridal Bouquets - Designs & Planning!

bridal-bouquets-designs-and-how-to-plan-with-your-florist

Florists are very much artists. I always suggest checking their websites and social media. Make sure you like their style before booking. Once you have the perfect florist, they can help bring your wedding vision to life! They are deeply involved in all facets of the wedding's design. Today, we'll focus on the bouquet. As a professional Wedding Planner and Designer, I want to share a simple process that works beautifully to organize your thoughts and ideas, so you can relay them to your florist and get the perfectly designed bouquet for your wedding day.

Your bouquet should reflect your personal style and also be comfortable to carry. You'll be holding it in many of your wedding photos and carrying it around with you for most of the day. It's easy to get caught up in Pinterest, pinning away to your heart's content. The more you explore, the more ideas you'll come across, and eventually, you'll find the photos that perfectly capture your style. As a Wedding Planner and Designer, I help couples transform their pins into a cohesive outline we call the ‘Inspiration Board’. Then, our vendors can use what we created to make it a reality.

I don't think simply sending a Pinterest Board to someone is a productive way to convey what you want for your wedding day. You might have pinned an image because you liked one specific detail, but there may be 10 things about it that you dislike.

For the bouquet, I recommend first finding three specific photos that inspire you. These photos will guide the florist in creating your perfect bouquet.

The 3 key things we are looking for are:

  1. The right size

  2. The right shape

  3. The right color balance

Be sure to add notes so the florist can fully understand what you like and don’t like about each.

Your florist will then ask you some pointed questions regarding specific flower selections, and differences in subtleties only someone in that industry would know to ask, and then will do what they do best!

I have seen and helped design so many beautiful bouquets over the years.
