I'm always amazed by how much donut lovers adore them! When I work with a couple who shares this passion, it becomes a fun challenge to find the most amazing donuts with unique flavors. And, of course, they often want them as part of their wedding cake or even as the cake itself!

In this post, I'm taking a different approach. Instead of just showcasing four wedding cakes with donuts on top, I want to dive a little deeper into how we carefully integrated these beloved treats into the celebration.

It wasn't just a matter of slapping donuts on a wall or cake; we got creative

We had a custom-made magnet featuring the couple's dog (she looked like she was peaking out from the bottom of the cake - then the couple put it on their fridge afterward).
We skipped the traditional cake altogether and opted for a towering pile of donuts topped with a cake topper.
In Beacon NY we went to the local donut shop and they made a special themed donut for the couple for their wedding weekend - any guests could get them upon request.
Each dessert station included a mind-boggling array of flavor options, various sizes (even little single-bite ones) and of course, each couple went home with a box of donuts for late-night snacks!
One we had personalized wax bags so guests could bring them home as a snack for later.

Before becoming a professional Wedding Planner, I had no clue about the vast array of donut flavors out there. And that's surprising, considering I spent five years working at Dunkin' Donuts during college. I mean, who knew they made everything bagel donuts or poppy seed donuts? And let's not forget the world-renowned donut shops in every major city – many of which deliver right to your doorstep!
