Boho Wedding in The Hudson Valley
The term "Boho" is synonymous with a free-spirited, artistic approach to life. It's a style that shuns the conventional and embraces individuality. At Gather Green, a picturesque Hudson Valley wedding venue nestled in the heart of nature, we brought this bohemian essence to life in every aspect of the celebration. We had a lot of fun planning and designing this! From the rustic tablescape adorned with artfully curated flowers and miss-matched vintage china, to the bridesmaids' flowing, warm earth-toned dresses, every detail was carefully curated to reflect the carefree, creative spirit of the Bohemian lifestyle. Even the bride's ethereal wedding dress, with its intricate lace and flowing bell sleeves, was a stunning testament to the power of self-expression.
Gather Green is a true haven for couples who dare to be different. I've witnessed classic, fairytale-like weddings unfold on its grounds, as well as bold, Bohemian Chic celebrations that push the boundaries of traditional wedding design. The beauty of this venue lies in its ability to adapt to any style, allowing couples to let their imagination run wild.
The vibrant color palette we chose for this wedding was a dream to work with, and our collaboration with Vintage Rentals resulted in a treasure trove of unique, one-of-a-kind decor pieces. However, Mother Nature had other plans. The unpredictable weather forced us to move the ceremony indoors at the last minute, a change of plans that could have been disastrous. But, as fate would have it, this unexpected turn of events led to some truly breathtaking photographs. With the ceremony yet to begin, the couple found themselves in the midst of an impromptu photo shoot, surrounded by their loved ones and the lush greenery of Gather Green.
As the saying goes, "when life gives you rain, make rainbows." In this case, a solid rain plan proved to be the key to unlocking a truly unforgettable wedding experience. It's a valuable lesson for all couples planning their special day: always be prepared for the unexpected, and never underestimate the power of a little creativity and quick thinking.
